For the week of November 10th, here is the vocabulary term that we taught our students the most at Eh Plus English in Vancouver.
- Turning point
- Definition: The time or moment that everything goes through a major or significant change.
- Example Sentence:
Moving to Vancouver was a turning point for me.
Having kids is usually a turning point for most people. It’s a lot of responsibility in your life!
We often use “turning point” and “tipping point” in similar, but different ways. “Turning point” means a big change, whereas “tipping point” tells us that the change has been slowly happening for a while, and then reaches a point where it must happen.
